Your choice about analytics.

Optional analytics

With your consent, Where in Thailand uses Google Analytics 4, provided by Google Ireland Limited, to understand how people find and use the site and which pages are useful. Consent is the legal basis for this optional processing. You can use the site without accepting analytics.

Google’s analytics script is loaded only after you accept. If you reject analytics or have not made a choice, this integration sends no analytics requests to Google. Advertising consent stays disabled, and this integration disables Google signals and advertising personalisation.

When analytics is enabled, Google receives information such as page addresses, referring pages, browser and device details, interactions and an identifier stored in analytics cookies. Page addresses can include trip preferences when you use a shared Find link. Google also receives your IP address as part of the connection; Google states that GA4 does not log or store individual IP addresses.

The consent preference expires after 180 days and we ask again. Clearing your browser storage may also make the banner reappear. Analytics cookies are configured for a maximum of 180 days without extending their lifetime on each visit.

Change your choice

Use Cookie settings in the footer at any time. Choose Reject analytics to withdraw consent. We stop analytics, remove accessible Google Analytics cookies for this site and reload the page to unload the Google tag. Withdrawal does not undo processing that took place while you had consented.

Google’s processing and your rights

Google may process analytics data outside the European Economic Area. See Google’s privacy policy and Google’s international data transfer information for its processing and safeguards. Analytics data retention also depends on the Google Analytics property settings.

Depending on your circumstances, you can request access to, correction or deletion of personal data, restriction of processing and data portability. You can withdraw consent at any time and complain to your local data protection authority.

Site operator and privacy contact

Where in Thailand is the site operator and data controller for this analytics processing. For privacy questions or to exercise your rights, email hello@whereinthailand.com. Analytics identifiers are not directly linked to your name or email by this integration, so we may need further information to identify relevant data.
