Eastern Thailand · city
Pattaya
Use the city as a base for restaurants, entertainment and a quick trip to Koh Larn.
The feel of the place
A lively coastal city with nightlife, dining and easy transport options.
Pattaya is a busy coastal city with extensive nightlife, varied dining and convenient local transport. The Sanctuary of Truth and other cultural stops add daytime options, while Koh Larn is a separate boat outing. Its developed city beaches and entertainment districts give it a different character from a quiet island stay.
Keep in mind
Traffic, development and nightlife bustle are part of the central stay. The city beaches offer a different experience from a quieter island holiday, so choose your neighbourhood around the pace you want.

How to read the scale
Scores describe how strongly a destination offers each characteristic. They are editorial assessments, not visitor ratings.
Higher does not always mean better
A higher nightlife score means a livelier scene. A higher quietness score means a calmer atmosphere. The right balance depends on your trip.

Temperatures are historical average daytime highs, not the highest temperatures you might experience. Rainfall and rainy days are monthly averages, not a forecast. A rainy day need not mean rain all day.
Stay prices are relative to each destination’s usual rates. Holidays can bring extra crowds and higher prices. Sea conditions vary by beach and day; check local conditions before boat trips.
